| Workin... doing the workiddy-work. I don't like my job. I will probably be here for a long time because I have become O.K. with not liking my job. It's just boring. Oh well. Although work is lame, I have hope. Friday I leave for Destin, FL with my buddy Steven, some girls from his school and a Korean dude. We're gonna camp at Henderson Beach State Park on the white sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico. We're going to live it up ocean-side style. We're gonna bask in the... ***insert record scratch sound where the narrarator introduces bad news here***... forecasted scattered showers. That's right, the first part of our journey is supposed to be kinda cloudy and rainy. For all of you who don't care, here are the predictions from the weather.com 10 day forecast for my stay in Florida:
Day 1- Sat 03/19- 67, Scattered Thunderstorms (Yay!) Day 2- Sun 03/20- 67, Mostly Cloudy Day 3- Mon 03/21- 70, Scattered Thunderstorms Day 4- Tue 03/22- 68, Scattered Showers Day 5- Wed 03/23- 67, Partly Cloudy Day 6- Beyond the 10 Day Forecast... CRAP! I guess we'll see.
Regardless of the weather, I'm still excited. We'll have a good time. Steven is the only person I know that's going, but he's one of my best friends (my other one, Brett can't come) so it will be o.k. Also, my friend Jeff will be in Destin for the same time period.
I hope all of you are doing well. You should all check out Autolux and The Futureheads. Have a good day. Jeffrey
| Once again it's been a while, but recently I've had a resurgence in Blogging activity (via mySpace). I decided to try to get my xanga up and running again for the heck of it.
It's been a while, so you may be wondering "What's new for Jeff". To answer your question- not much. Well, I'm moving in with my dad to keep him company because he's been super lonely since my mom passed away, so that should be interesting. The band I used to be in made a transition from hardcore to kind of a post-punk/indie gig named Business//Casualty instead of In State. Check them out! They're pretty good. I've been thinking about maybe getting a band rolling or something. I don't want anything too time consuming, but I kind of miss music.
It seems like a lot of my friends' bands are going places lately. The Professional Americans are going into the studio to record with the guy who recorded Fiona Apple, Incubus and Something Corporate... which could be awesome for them. My friends Micky and Brannon's band Happy Endings got signed to J Records (Alicia Keyes, Rod Stewart, Maroon 5, etc) last month. And my friend Austin's band Starrfadu is releasing an awesome CD this week. Amidst all of this musical awesomeness I miss being in a band.
That's all for now. Jeff
| wow... it's been a long time. thanks to the gentle coaxing of Delbert i'm now updating. life is cool. i like it. lately i've just been working and stuff... making the moola... living the life of a true player (not really). stuff has been going well though. since i last updated, i joined a band, got removed/removed myself from a band, and all kinds of things.
now that i think about it... it's been a really long time. i've grown a lot in the past several months. for those of you who don't know, my mother passed away July 3 and since then my priorities have drastically changed. everything has changed in the last year or so. I moved away from my family, my parents relocated, my dog died, my sister got married, my mother died, i moved again... i dunno. it just makes me think about how frail we are as humans. in the grand scheme of things we have such little time to do anything. why waste time "chasing the wind" as the writer of Ecclesiastes said. it seems like that's what everyone does... including myself. for the first time ever, i sincerely want to do something significant for God's kingdom while i'm on earth. hopefully i can find a happy medium between practically being a kid who wants to have fun and being an effective tool of God.
sorry this one's so serious. this one's for you delbert ;) haha.

| I guess I'll seriously update now. Sorry I haven't been keeping up! It's been a couple of months since I've posted so I'll do a brief run-through of what has been going on.
May- Finals were no fun, summer began, worked a lot, Morningside's last show (at least for a while)
June- Moved into the new place with Brett and Andrew, saw a few good concerts, etc.
Everything is going well with me. I haven't done much fun stuff so far this summer. I went down to Branson to hang out with Jenna T. several weeks ago. I went to be a counselor at a youth leadership seminar week before last in Wichita, KS and that was fun. I was planning on going to Cornerstone, but I decided not to for different reasons.
Pardon all of the links. I just thought it would be fun to link everything.
I'm excited because Nodes of Ranvier are playing in Springfield twice in the next month!
Anyway that's enough for now. I hope you're all happy.

| I guess it's time for me to finally update. It's been a while. There. I did it.
God Bless.
